Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership Against Domestic Violence is an interfaith nonprofit agency dedicated to strengthening the capacity of faith communities to engage in a coordinated effort to end domestic violence.

Founded in 1991, Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership Against Domestic Violence is a national interfaith organization, located in Boston, that is dedicated to strengthening the capacity of faith communities to engage in a coordinated effort to end domestic violence. Working as a bridge between diverse religious communities and social service providers, Safe Havens creates systemic change to improve the faith community’s response to domestic violence. Safe Havens conducts trainings, documents best practices and creates new collaborative efforts to respond to domestic violence in our midst. We are seeking new Board members with marketing, fund raising or management expertise who are active in a faith community and committed to ending domestic violence.
History:
Founded in 1991, Safe Havens has worked with over 100 faith communities to train teams from the congregation, as well as law enforcement and community responders to domestic violence. Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership Against Domestic Violence is a national technical assistance provided for the Department of Justice Family Violence Prevention Project. Safe havens is seeking to strengthen its outreach and programs in Eastern MA and enlisting volunteers for the Board.
