The mission of SCI Social Capital Inc. is to strengthen communities by connecting diverse individuals and organizations through civic engagement initiatives. We envision a nation where individuals are strongly connected to their neighbors and play an active role in shaping the destiny of their communities. This increase in ‘social capital’ will result in communities that are safer, healthier and more vital.

We will achieve our mission and vision by creating a network of communities working locally to raise levels of social capital and civic engagement. SCI is currently operating programs in Woburn, Dorchester, and Lynn, MA. SCI is now planning to replicate our Community Connector programs in communities across the state while continuing to expand our flagship locations.

SCI Dorchester @ DotWell is a civic partnership between Social Capital Inc. and DotWell, a community-based organization, specifically a formalized collaborative effort of its two founding organizations: the Codman Square Health Center (CSHC) and the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center (DHMSC). Social Capital Inc. strengthens communities by connecting diverse individuals and organizations through civic engagement initiatives.
