Jewish Community Volunteer Program contributes to the vitality of the Jewish and Greater Boston communities by providing diverse and satisfying opportunities for volunteers of all ages and from all locations.

Description:
Jewish Community Volunteer Program functions as a volunteer center by providing consultation, training and resources to individuals and groups while providing enriching long and short term volunteer opportunities. You can teach a child to read. Deliver food to the hungry. Offer New Americans legal or financial advice. Talk to a lonely person in an eldercare facility. Whether it is for 2 hours or two years, the Boston community needs you. Whether you are 11-99, whether you are a student, homemaker or business person, you and your skills are invaluable and we can match your talents to community needs.

History:
The Jewish Community Volunteer Program was established in 1984 as a volunteer clearinghouse for individuals and groups. The program serves over 500 individuals annually in the Greater Boston area.
