The Atlanta Alliance on Developmental Disabilities (AADD) is seeking open-hearted individuals, businesses, companies, and churches to adopt families for the holidays -- starting NOW. Persons with developmental disabilities and their families often live at or below the poverty level. Once they have stretched their income to cover the basics, there is little left for food and practically nothing left for any holiday celebrating. You can make sure everyone is included in holiday cheer by adopting a family. The volunteer will provide a holiday meal and gifts to one of the 170 families AADD supports. Adoptions can be for either Thanksgiving or the Winter Holidays or both. AADD will provide detailed information regarding the family (or individual) being adopted.
