The Department of Environmental Protection's State Parks Division offers volunteering and internship opportunities in the following areas:

PARK SAFETY: Trails safety, beach safety (lifeguard support), supervisory, casting area, mining sluice

PARK MAINTENANCE: trail maintenance, carpentry projects, gardening projects, building maintenance

OFFICE/MUSEUM SUPPORT: data entry, newsletter production, review, and update exhibits for accuracy, maintain live exhibits, catalogue specimens, special events, digitizing data

PARK OPERATIONS: Teaching, store register, front desk, campgrounds, fund raising, and grant writing

Applicants must read the Volunteer/Intern manual, send all pertinent forms and application materials. They may be required to receive additional training prior to starting to work at the DEP
