We will need several hundred volunteers to help us host another successful fundraiser for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.
We have two great volunteer opportunities:
- Pre-Registration and Packet Pickup at REI Stores. November 21 - 26, various shifts are available each day
Volunteers help register participants, distribute t-shirts, sell merchandise and much more! Pre-registration takes place at all three local REI stores. End-user computer skills are helpful but not mandatory. Packet Pickup takes place at the Sacramento REI location only.
- Race Day at CSUS: Thanksgiving Day, November 27 from 6:00 am to 11:00 am
Volunteers are needed on Thanksgiving Day to assist with a variety of tasks. For instance, you may be needed to pass out t-shirts, assist with registration, direct traffic, distribute water, collect trash, or any other number of duties! Please note you cannot volunteer AND participate in the Run.
Minimum age to volunteer is 16 years old and those 16-18 must have a guardian present. If you'd like to volunteer with a group make sure that each member enters the same group name so that you'll all be placed together.

You will receive confirmation for race day volunteering with task, time, parking information and additional details the week prior to Thanksgiving.
