Help support low-income parents experiencing all forms of hardships and crisis. The goal of the program is to reinforce parenting skills and help parents with emergency childcare supplies in the form of diapers, formula, baby-food, toiletries, clothing, etc. Volunteers will serve as mentors and assist with Family Life Workshops/Parent Education Classes; perform client check-in (meet and greet clients, have them sign in, etc); sort, restock, and distribute emergency child care supplies to parents; and assist the program manager and other mentors with resource and referral services. *Also: Volunteers needed to present for Family Life Workshops!!! The program is open Monday-Thursday from 10:00-2:00. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer with out an adult. Children ages 10-15 may volunteer alongside a responsible adult. Volunteers must commit at least 2-4 hours per week during program time.
