Homemakers, retired men and women, part-time workers, parents, singles, ages 19 to 90, are invited to teach art appreciation to school children. Art Goes to School is a volunteer art appreciation program sponsored by the Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission with funding provided by the NJ State Council on the Arts/Dept. of State and the County of Hunterdon. If you like art and are interested in working with children, in expanding your own horizons of knowledge and occasionally visit art museums and galleries with an enthusiastic group of volunteers, we will train you to present this art appreciation program in local Hunterdon County classrooms. Volunteers introduce elementary school children to classic paintings and help them discover the for themselves enjoyment and understanding of this basic form of expression. If you have a few free hours available during the school year -- WE NEED YOU! This opportunity is sponsored by: Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission
